Soil Extraction Transfer Technology (S.E.T.T)
What is the S.E.T.T. method?
- The S.E.T.T. method (Robin Roberts of Oxy-Dry) is a low-moisture cleaning procedure that utilizes an encapsulation solution to clean carpets.
- The solution surrounds each soil particle and crystallizes it so it can’t attract other soils. The soil is then extracted from the carpet using a cotton or microfiber bonnet.
- The carpet is then post-vacuumed with a powerful extraction vacuum to remove any additional soil remaining in the carpet. This unique cleaning method has become popular not only for commercial but residential use as well. This method of cleaning prevents stains from reappearing after drying.

- Fast drying time: The carpet does not become oversaturated with water during the cleaning. This cleaning process allows carpets to dry usually within one hour.
